Orchard Manor is a non-profit nursing home sponsored by the Odd Fellows and Rebekahs of Western Pennsylvania.  The IOOF (Independent Order of Odd Fellows) is a benevolent and social organization which originated in England in 1812, and was introduced in the United States in 1819 at Baltimore, Maryland.

Wayside Inn, the IOOF Home of Western Pennsylvania, was established in 1901, with additions built throughout the years. Originally for Brothers of the Fellowship and their widows, the decision was made many years ago to accept admissions from the community and general public, regardless of membership in the Order. As state and federal regulations became more stringent, a new, modern facility was necessary.

In 1976, Orchard Manor was completed and Residents from Wayside Inn moved into the new Home, as did Sisters from the Rebekah Home in Pittsburgh.

Today, Orchard Manor is a 121 bed facility, licensed for skilled care by the Pennsylvania Department of Health. The Board of Directors is responsible for the overall operation of the Home, and ensures that a professional, competent staff is on duty 24 hours a day. Our goal is to provide quality nursing and medical care to the aged and infirm, which promotes the highest practical, physical, mental psychosocial well-being of each individual, in as close to home-like setting as possible.
